Our commitment

GAH Buy Right is committed to making our website and services usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA (and monitor WCAG 2.2 guidance as it evolves).


Conformance status

We are actively working toward full conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA. Some parts of the site may not yet fully meet the standard—see Known limitations below—while we continue improvements and regular testing.


What we’re doing

We’re building with inclusive design in mind:

  • Semantic HTML & landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) for screen readers

  • Visible focus states and full keyboard navigation

  • Color contrast targeted at ≥ 4.5:1 (brand colors: #002248 navy, #D1B48C gold)

  • Text alternatives for images and icons; decorative images marked appropriately

  • Form labels, instructions, and error messages tied to inputs; ARIA where needed

  • Motion & animation reduced when prefers-reduced-motion is enabled

  • Skip-link to jump directly to main content

  • Responsive layout that reflows without losing content or functionality

  • Status messages (e.g., success toasts) exposed to assistive tech via ARIA live regions


Known limitations & workarounds

We’re tracking the following items and working on fixes:

  • Interactive Map (Leaflet/OSM): Keyboard navigation can be cumbersome.
    Workaround: Service areas are also listed as text links/chips below or above the map. You can contact us for area info or directions.

  • Legacy images/media: Older posts may be missing descriptive alt text or transcripts/captions.
    Workaround: We’ll provide accessible alternatives on request and are updating older items on a rolling basis.

  • Third-party widgets: Booking, analytics, embedded media, and social feeds are provided by third parties with their own accessibility roadmaps.
    Workaround: We provide alternative contact/booking options (email/phone) if a widget is hard to use.
